Small Store Sales Analysis
Grocers Supply is a grocery distribution company for small and locally owned grocers
and convenience stores operating primarily in Texas. Grocers Supply services more
than 650 grocery stores, 1,200 convenience stores and 200 schools. Grocers Supply
was in need of a way to analyze sales information for the Small Stores Division
of the company.
At Grocers Supply, we built a system that incorporated Microsoft Excel, a custom
web application built with C# and ASP.NET, and Microsoft SQL Server to provide their
users with ad-hoc reporting and analytics for product, vendor and customer sales.
This solution, which loads over two years of sales information from their data warehouse
on a daily basis for reporting of 250,000+ invoices and 13,000+ products and 3,000+
customers, is completely self-serviced, and does not require the constant attention
of IT for daily reporting needs.
